Elmer C. Carrier Post # 365

American Legion Department of Pennsylvania

Was organized in 1926, under the sponsorship of the Erie County Voiture of the 40 and 8.

Regular meetings have been held throughout the life of the Post and while meeting places varied somewhat over the years, semi-permanent quarters were established in the Horn Block in 1932 and served the Post well until 1936 when plans for a permanent home were made.

In April of 1936 the Post moved to 523 North Center Street into what was once described as one of the finest homes in the state.
